In 1994, EESI Ltd was founded by local businessman Mike Gardiner. The company launched as electrical contractors with just 2 employees. Fast forward to today, 26 years on it has evolved into EESI Group Services, a leading building services and facilities management company employing 70 people.
As the customer base grew and requests for services widened, EESI Ltd responded by expanding its skill set and workforce. The business diversified to offer full facilities management, electrical and mechanical installations, maintenance services, air-conditioning and heating, test and inspection, alarms, CCTV systems and data services, plus building and dilapidation works.
EESI set itself apart by providing a complete in-house, multi-discipline service, fully qualified and accredited. Crucially, it maintained its focus on industry in Gloucestershire and it remains here at its Stonehouse base that best provides the one-stop solution offered.
This focus on delivering a standard of service to a local market has translated to strong and sustainable growth within the business; Market share is maintained, the existing client base is serviced and new clients are gained through recommendation and reputation. This is witnessed by a steady and sustained increase in turnover and profit, in employee numbers, skill sets and levels and of course, longevity.
Many of the EESI team have stayed with the company for more than a decade, and several colleagues employed back in 1994 remain. Over the years EESI has trained more than 50 young people via apprenticeships and many of these have worked their way up to senior roles. Today EESI also has multi-generations of families working for them. And customers that were there at the beginning, 26 years ago, continue to stand alongside today. This is testament to the company ethos, to the culture of the business; focused on the community, family and well-being of its employees.
